Mercury has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Recruitment Specialist to join our expanding team. Working in Dublin, you will be working on a combination of high volume professional and supervisory roles sourcing candidates from not only Ireland but all over the world.

Duties and responsibilities include:
- Directly reporting to the Recruitment Lead, you will have responsibility over the recruitment process lifecycle of your allocated Business Unit including advertising roles, shortlisting candidates, interviewing, completing references and making job offers.
- Support the Recruitment Lead with insights, analysis and innovative ways of sourcing the right caliber of candidates to Mercury.
- Research the markets within which we operate and make recommendations regarding the recruitment process, partnering with local agencies if / when required.
- Liaising with your allocated Business Unit/s and its hiring managers on recruitment requirements and offering best practice recruiting to the business.
- Advertising roles on various recruitment websites and on our ATS system.
- Ensuring all job offers are sent via The Mercury Experience, the Company’s Onboarding & Induction software.
- Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers. Advice and coach line managers on interview questions.
- Liaising and assisting with new employees when relocating to projects in Ireland, the UK, mainland Europe or any other locations where the Company has recruitment needs.
- Ensure each new start has the relevant training and Health & Safety requirements completed.
- Liaise with site administration, where necessary, to book a new hire onto the site induction, when needed.
- Assisting with recruitment fairs / open days / Graduate recruitment fairs.
- Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and courses; reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks.
- Build good working relationships with all the other members of the HR team, particularly supporting the Recruitment Lead, HR Business Partners and HR Manager.
- Positively influence the HR team and Line Managers to bring about successful recruitment campaigns.
- Embrace Mercury’s values and become a HR champion.
- Support the Recruitment Lead and the HR Manager with any other requirements.
- Liaising with recruitment agencies on PSL
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Essential
- Proven track record in either in-house and/or agency recruitment preferable in Construction and/or Engineering
- Experience working with trades and apprentices is preferable.
- Self-motivated with experience in using Social Media recruitment tools.
- Ability to prioritise is essential as you will manage a number of open vacancies at any one time.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of emotional intelligence.
- Good understanding of HR and Strategic HR Management.
- Ability to work with private & confidential information, knowledge of GDPR.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well within strict deadlines and under pressure.
Desirable
- Experience in International Recruitment.
- Fluency in another EU language.
- CIPD qualification.
- SAP Experience.
