Position Description
SonicWALL are currently recruiting for a Channel Business Development role to be based out of our EMEA HQ, in Cork Ireland. The candidate will be working with our Italian team to recruit, on-board & enable partners in the Italian territory. This position is responsible for developing and implementing reseller recruitment strategy and to drive additional revenue through channel. The Channel Business Development role provides direction for partners to ensure they meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective reseller recruitment strategy. Create, share and present Partner Enablement material and Award-winning SecureFirst partner program details with potential Resellers, to make them interested to join our partner landscape and become active value generators.Essential Requirements:
- Work closely with dormant resellers to reactivate. Identify potential reseller needs and interests and effectively communicate benefits and opportunities available to meet needs and interests. Partner with the Director of Sales and Account Executives & Distributors to provide support to reactivated and new resellers in developing business plans, expense budgeting and marketing plans.
- Analyze reseller capacity throughout the country to pinpoint activities to match recruiting efforts. Perform analysis of reseller mix by product specialty and develop plan to ensure recruitment efforts target correct mix of resellers. Analyse sales and industry trends and make appropriate recommendations to ensure long-range planning needs are met.
- Utilize lead generation and inbound marketing, as well as with the help of distribution partner business intelligence. Increase our partner base and discusses SonicWALL products with resellers, distributors, solutions providers, and training partners to help drive sales and revenue target achievement.
- Creates and conducts partner assessments including partner evaluation processes, quarterly and annual business reviews.
- Maintain regular interactions with the partners, sales and sales management teams and initiate training based on teams needs and customer questions or objections.
- Maintains processes that assure tight integration between partners and the sales and customer success team.
- Partners with Marketing to ensure ongoing communication to partners of business requirements and expectations.
- Serves as relationship liaison and escalation path between the partners, sales, customer success, and other internal organizational departments.

- 3+ years experience in the technology sales or channel.
- Experience developing and delivering initial and ongoing channel development programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint as well as web based presentation software: Go to Meeting.
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Highly motivated with a desire for success
- Excellent English and Italian language is a must.
