Job Summary:The Revenue team are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger accounts and handling all RtR activities that fall within this transactional group.The Revenue Accountant (Projects) role will contribute to maintaining the integrity of Revenue transactions and all associated costs, COGS, Warranty, and Commissions etc. through the EMEA Trading Hub and EMEA commercial Entities, circa $1.5 to $2 billion. This role will have a strong focus on all aspects of EMEAs Project Accounting end to end process.The Revenue Accountant (Projects) role is to support the RTR EMEA Revenue Leader in the future design of all Revenue and associated transactions within EMEAThe Revenue Accountants activities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure accurate Revenue and Cost of Goods sold accounting for EMEA Projects Module. Ensure the Financial policies of Ingersoll Rand (FICAP) are upheld for the revenue and cost of goods sold elements of the IR Financials. Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly & quarterly Full ownership of all Project Accounting ledger management activities Ensure full adherence to changes in standard work as a result of ASC606 Work closely with SBU Finance and FP&A Teams to ensure all Projects, Unbilled and Unearned Accounts are managed in a timely manner. Review PPV monthly, find items not linked to a product and advise Data Management. Reviewing new tasks that are taking into the hub and incorporate them into the R&E team Standardisation & automation of key Project Accounting systems and processes. Provide support and technical guidance on all Projects related queries to SBU partners.Meet monthly closing and regional reporting requirements (Day 1 Final Revenue Reporting, Day 2 CoGs).Lead and participate in lean accounting, project and process initiatives. This would include automating accounting routines, reducing manual journal entries, supporting reporting excellence and driving productivity actions.Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations of assigned Balance Sheet accounts with accounting performed in accordance with corporate procedures and GAAP/IFRS/SIC.Prevent, address and rectify compliance issues within area of responsibility.Support changes in our Trading Model, work Migration or Process Improvement Initiatives.Qualifications:
Significant and proven, relevant experience in a multinational company. Fully qualified Accountant and member of one of the following professional bodies : ACA,ACCA,CIMA or CPA Strong and proven problem solving aptitude with a desire to continuously improve processes - be able to clearly articulate practical examples. High standards of service and professionalism most especially to the functions key stakeholders, internal and external. Naturally considers the business implications Strong communication and influencing skills Good team player and business partnerTechnical skills:Routinely handle high volume of data effectively, work to tight deadlines and able to prioritise.Essential:
- Proficiency in Oracle
- Proficiency in Excel
Desirable:
- Other Large ERP e.g. SAP, Siebel
Proficiency in MS AccessLanguage-skills:
Fluency in English and preferably on other European language ideally German or French
